1. Review the Culminating Activity from each graduating
student

The tech comm faculty will
meet each May, after classes end, to review the Culminating Activity from
each graduating student. If all that is required to remedy any problems
identified in this review is to shift emphasis in the teaching of existing
courses, the Director of Technical Communication will work with the
instructors of those courses to implement the changes. If major changes to
existing courses or the addition of new courses are required, the Director of
Technical Communication will oversee these formal measures and present
revised curricula to the department through the existing curriculum-review
process.

2. Have graduating students fill out an exit
questionnaire

3. Survey graduates three years after completing their
degrees.

The Director of Technical
Communication will oversee the distribution of questionnaires to graduates three
years after they have received their diplomas. He or she will then present
the findings of the questionnaires to the other faculty. Together, they will
review the findings. If all that is required to remedy any problems
identified in this review is to shift emphasis in the teaching of existing
courses, the Director of Technical Communication will work with the
instructors of those courses to implement the changes. If major changes to
existing courses or the addition of new courses are required, the Director of
Technical Communication will oversee these formal measures and present
revised curricula to the department through the existing curriculum-review
process.
