How is the information used?

1.  Review the Culminating Activity from each graduating student

1-5

The tech comm faculty will meet each May, after classes end, to review the Culminating Activity from each graduating student. If all that is required to remedy any problems identified in this review is to shift emphasis in the teaching of existing courses, the Director of Technical Communication will work with the instructors of those courses to implement the changes. If major changes to existing courses or the addition of new courses are required, the Director of Technical Communication will oversee these formal measures and present revised curricula to the department through the existing curriculum-review process.

2.  Have graduating students fill out an exit questionnaire

1-5

The tech comm faculty will meet each May, after classes end, to review the exit questionnaires from each graduating student.

3.  Survey graduates three years after completing their degrees.

1-5

The Director of Technical Communication will oversee the distribution of questionnaires to graduates three years after they have received their diplomas. He or she will then present the findings of the questionnaires to the other faculty. Together, they will review the findings.
