Linda Marie Zaerr is a professor at Boise State University, where she specializes in the interdisciplinary study of Middle English romance.  She uses live performance and recordings of narrative and fiddle playing to explore and demonstrate principles indicated by her research. She has written a book, Performance and the Middle English Romance, as well as numerous articles, and she has produced audio and video recordings of Middle English romances. She received an MA in Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies from the University of York and a PhD in Middle English Literature from the University of Washington.
