Linda Marie Zaerr is a professor at Boise State University, where she specializes in the interdisciplinary study of Middle English romance.  She uses live performance and recordings of narrative and fiddle playing to explore and demonstrate principles indicated by her research. She has published numerous articles on narrative performance, and she has produced audio and video recordings of Middle English romances. Her book, Performance and the Middle English Romance is forthcoming with Boydell and Brewer.  She received an MA in Interdisciplinary Medieval Studies from the University of York and a PhD in Middle English Literature from the University of Washington.
