February 25, 2007 - 1:30 P.M. - Social Event: Movies & Lunch at the Flicks

Members will pay only $5 for lunch, including a drink and desert, and a movie ticket. Kim Lock will reserve the upstairs room and send an email out about the event.

Mark your calendars! On Sunday, February 25th at 1:30pm we will hold a social/fundraising gathering at The Flicks movie theatre. For only $5 you can have lunch and a drink and watch a movie of your choice. The Flicks serves great food and shows cutting-edge/artsy/independent/foreign movies.

This will be a great opportunity to meet the officers and other members and to have some fun. You can bring friends or partners if you like, but they'll have to pay their own way.

Please note: The Flicks sells wine and beer. If you want to partake, you'll have to buy the alcohol yourself. BSU forbids the purchase of alcohol with club funds.

When you get to The Flicks, go to the main counter INSIDE to purchase your lunch, drink, and movie ticket.

We have reserved the room upstairs for our gathering. It's up to you what movie you see. There's usually at least two or three showing at around 3pm.

2007 Sigma Tau Delta Poetry Contest

Open to all Boise State undergraduates.
First prize: $275, second prize: $200, third prize $125. Deadline: 5 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007. Submission instructions.

March 9 - Final Academic Decathlon

We've got our final Academic Decathlon coming up and we need 12 volunteers to judge a lot of short essays. If you haven't volunteered for us before, now's your chance! Here are the details:

Date: Friday, March 9th
Time: 2pm to about 7pm
Where: Bishop Kelly High School on Franklin
Food will be provided.

If you can't attend for the whole session, a 2- or 3-hour shift would be
fine. Please let Kim Lock, sigmataudeltabsu@gmail.com, know ASAP if you can help out or if you have any questions.

We will be holding a yard sale in April, so if you have items you would like to donate let us know. Large items ok depending on if we can store them somewhere.
