COURSE REQUIREMENTS
Grades will be determined by your participation in and performance on in-class and take home book-making and book-related workshops and assignments (20%), three quizzes (one take-home, two in-class-30%), and your performance in completing the following assignments:

    1. Select one of the following (10%):
    A. A display/exhibit (and class tour) of books and/or book related materials with appropriate and effective signage;
                                  or
    B. A biblio-related t-shirt with a 2-4 page paper detailing your conception, execution and critical estimation of your shirt.

    2. Production of a scroll to protect you from one thing--inspired by Ethiopian protective scrolls, and a 2-4 page paper detailing your conception, execution, and critical estimation of your scroll. Oral presentation of scroll to class. (15%)

    3. Production of a "Classroom Edition": 1 copy for each class member, 2 copies for the instructor. A book with text and/or image by you bound in an appropriate format. Oral presentation of book to class. (25%):
