The Helios Carbex colored ditto master collection from Brazil!

Creation and destruction of Hecto Manifesto #1. Few visuals of this distressing exercise (code named ìInstructor Asleep at the Wheelî) survive. Vaguely recalling that the hecto process involved the reversal of images, but confusing it with the mimeo machines of his youth, the instructor advised trusting students to inscribe their words and/or images on the front (blank) white side of the ditto master. Shown: Completed Hecto Manifesto #1, prior to transfer to bed.

Undeterred, Barbara begins work on Hecto Manifesto #2.  Note, this time, text and images are inscribed on the backside of the ditto master to account for theÖwell, whatever it is that happens.

Completed Hecto Manifesto #2. Note the bed has been swished with hot water to remove Hecto Manifesto #1 and then patted dry. The adventure continues!

Of course, there were no problems creating this ditto master, however, removing it from a too-sticky bed proved tragic. (Or perhaps it was applied to the gel surface too firmly?)
