Student Resources
The Writing Center
The Writing Center is a free service open to all Boise State students. It is a place where students and faculty can find support for their writing efforts. It is staffed by Writing Consultants, graduate and undergraduate students who have taken special training in how to help people with writing. They are called Writing Consultants because consulting is what they do. You bring the writing, and they consult with you on ways to develop, organize, revise, or edit.
BSU Tutorial Services
The purpose of the Boise State University Tutorial Program is to enhance the academic success of Boise State University students by supplying effective facilitation in a manner that will improve academic skills while developing mastery of subject material. Student independence rather than tutor dependence will be the emphasis of the tutorial program.
College Assistance Migrant Program
The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Boise State University, provides support to migrant or seasonal farmworkers and their children to attend college.
Advising Center
Academic advising is an important part of Boise State University?s commitment to the process of educating the student. Advising involves both an interaction process designed to facilitate student development and the communication of accurate information regarding degree programs, courses, resources, college policies/procedures, and career opportunities, all with the objective of helping students attain their educational goals.
Computer Labs
There are several Computer Labs available for use by students on campus. These labs provide computer systems, software, and printers for you to do your work at no cost (printing costs may vary). The software and services available will vary from lab to lab.
English as a Second Language
Boise State University is pleased to serve an increasingly diverse population of students and is committed to bringing together students, faculty, staff, and community members of different language backgrounds. This linguistic diversity enhances the environment for learning and at the same time presents challenges for us all as we seek to understand perspectives and uses of language that are different from our own. The ESL website provides an introduction to the program at BSU and some helpful resources.
