Michael served as an adjunct faculty member from 2003 until 2014 when he moved to full-time lecturer within the Technical Communication program. Prior to that, he worked over twenty years as a consultant, practitioner, project manager, and senior manager in the fields of technical communication and marketing communication. He has managed large teams; recruited, trained, and supervised professionals at all levels; and directed strategy for large consulting engagements. He is an active community volunteer with a passion for projects that expand the capacity of organizations and communities, provide opportunities for youth and emerging professionals, create enterprise, and increase quality of life.

As a member of the Technical Communication faculty, his teaching and service interests are focused on team and project management, practical application of technical communication concepts, professional opportunities for students, and community collaboration.
