We invite students to get involved through student organizations such as those listed below, as well as internships, study-abroad experiences, and service-learning projects.
- Boise State Linguistics Association
A student organization open to all Boise State students with an interest in linguistics.
- English Majors Association
A student-based organization that promotes the learning and sharing of new ideas through writing and reading. Our goal is to build a solid community of English majors and minors across the different emphases.
- The Ethos Project
The Ethos Project is a student-run organization at Boise State University that focuses on empowering students to pursue their passions and goals. The project also focuses on highlighting the engagement and passion of undergraduate students from across disciplines. By bringing together students, faculty, administrators, and community leaders, the Ethos Project creates a space for collaboration that bridges the campus and local community. - Freewrite: Creative Writing Club
A student club that promotes creative writing of all genres. They welcome people of all experience levels.
- Project SHINE (Students Helping in the Naturalization of Elders)
A national service-learning initiative in which university students assist elder refugees and immigrants in their efforts to learn English and obtain citizenship.
Tech Comm Games Guild
A place to meet other people interested in games; discuss, play, and create games and game-related artifacts; and learn fun stuff about games and technical communication. Open to all Boise State students. Fall 2016 meetings: Wednesdays at 4:15pm in LA-208A.
WOW: Women of the Workplace
A student club that reaches across disciplines (science, liberal arts, business, etc.) to strengthen confidence, knowledge and the workplace community for women.
