Students in the Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication (WRTC) emphasis come to us from a variety of backgrounds and with diverse sets of goals. See this page to learn more about our current students, with more profiles coming soon!
I love learning a multitude of things during college. I love researching, writing fiction, and learning how to communicate on various platforms. Having so many interests, Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication fosters an environment where I can dip my toes in the different areas of English. With having a wider choice of classes, I find I’ve been able to interact with students of all majors and Professors which have added to my education. Writing, Rhetoric, and Technical Communication is perfect for a student like me who doesn’t want to learn just about one subject for four years.
I am a WRTC major because I want to use the power of the pen to advocate for a better world and more clear communication. I want to be the bridge between the creator and the user. By making a more clear and concise set of instructions and easier-to-use documents and websites the individual user has more effective time management. I’m all about making lives easier.
